Applications of Slip Rings in Shopping Malls

In shopping malls, slip rings are primarily utilized for power and signal transmission in rotating mechanisms and display equipment found in various commercial structures. Their core value lies in preventing cable tangling and breakage between stationary power sources and continuously rotating components. In revolving door systems, slip rings are installed within the motor assembly on the door's rotation axis; they transmit sensor signals, access control signals, and control pulses from a fixed control box to the rotating door, enabling it to detect pedestrians and execute automatic opening and closing operations. For the circular rotating display screens often found in mall atriums or brand stores, "cap-style" conductive slip rings are embedded into the screen's central rotation axis. These slip rings simultaneously transmit high-definition video signals and stable power during continuous rotation, ensuring seamless imagery so that viewers can see the complete content from any angle. Rotating display platforms and stands also rely on slip rings to power onboard lighting, audio systems, and electronic displays, maintaining full functionality while the equipment rotates a full 360 degrees. In rotating restaurants—a distinctive feature often located on the top floors of malls—through-bore conductive slip rings facilitate power and signal transmission between the rotating floor and the stationary building structure, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of lighting, air conditioning, and kitchen equipment during the restaurant's slow rotation. Additionally, smart PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) security cameras within the mall are equipped with high-definition slip rings; these transmit video signals and power while the camera continuously rotates to track subjects, preventing cable entanglement that could otherwise interrupt surveillance. Slip rings designed for shopping malls generally require low operating noise and a long service life to withstand commercial environments involving over ten hours of continuous daily operation; furthermore, slip rings for certain display screens must feature a compact, low-profile design to fit within limited installation spaces.
